Global Inclusion and Diversity Leader
Jesse Cortez is the Global Inclusion Effectiveness Lead at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, reporting to the Chief Diversity Officer. In his role he is responsible for HPE’s efforts to accelerate Inclusion in the workplace.  He leads a team of regional Inclusion & Diversity leaders across the globe who are charged with creating an environment of Inclusion that allows everyone to succeed and bring their best to HPE.  Prior to this role, Jesse served as ‘Deputy’ CDO for the Global Functions and Customer Success business units (~30,000 employees), charged with all aspects of I&D, including talent acquisition, talent management and retention. Also, serving to provide global leadership, governance andthought leadership for multiple programs, leveraging a data driven approach to diagnosing/prescribing innovative solutions. Other areas of focus include Persons with Disabilities and Ethnicity Diversity initiatives, as well as serving as a liaison between Diversity and Global Talent Acquisition on sourcing strategies.Throughout his career, Jesse has focused on talent and diversity, fostering
an inclusive environment for our people to succeed. He has extensive experience in leadership talent acquisition, large scale diversity initiatives and working with non-profit organizations over the past 13 years. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC) and the Advisory Board for the US Business Leadership Network (USBLN). He is also a member of the STEM committee for Dallas-based SER National and frequently participates and contributes to a number of other partner organizations.
Prior to joining HPE, Jesse spent 5 years with Accenture leading global and US based talent acquisition teams at the senior executive (partner)l evel focused on various industries, including: Health & Public Service;Natural Resources; Communications, Media & Technology; and Products,Retail & Automotive. Before being recruited to Accenture, he co-founded and ran a niche search firm focused on Healthcare recruitment.
Originally from Chicago, Jesse now lives in the Dallas area with his wife,son and daughter.
