Eva Csaky

Dr. Eva Szalkai Csaky is the Executive Director of the Hunt Institute for Engineering &Humanity and Research Professor at SMU where Dr. Csaky’s work focuses on fosteringinclusive economic solutions through various market based mechanisms. She is leading acomprehensive inclusive economy action research program and is the co-founder of theDallas based Inclusive Economy Consortium. Prior to joining SMU, Dr. Csaky workedfor 18 years for the International Finance Corporation (private sector arm of the WorldBank Group). Impact investing and innovative models for financial inclusion have beenimportant pillars of Dr. Csaky’s work and she earned various recognitions for hercontributions in that area, including the first IFC/World Bank Innovation Award. Dr.Csaky led investment transactions in 24 countries, with a focus on energy efficiency,renewable energy, clean water access and sustainable value chains.Dr. Csaky is the co-author of the 2017 G20 study "Climate Smart Financing for Smalland Medium Enterprises – Enabling Policy frameworks”. She is also a member of DallasMayor Rawlings’ Poverty Task Force, the Advisory Group for Dallas Chief ResilienceOfficer and served as an advisor to the OECD’s Green Growth Knowledge Platform.
Dr. Csaky has an MS in Finance from the George Washington University, an MA inPublic Policy from Duke University and a PhD in Public Policy with specialization onGlobalization and Development from Duke University.
