Joey Hendrickson is a former touring artist who performed with 21 Pilots, The Lumineers, Chris Jamison, and collaborated with TV & Film composers early in his career. Today, Joey works on the other side of the stage as a Founder and Consultant. At Kalypso, Joey is a Senior Consultant of Digital Innovation, leveraging emerging technologies to support growth of major enterprises like Nike, PepsiCo, and Target. As a Founder of How To Build A Music City, Joey leads events and workshops to help cities raise new support for music and entertainment. The outcomes? New non-profits and public-private partnerships through bottom-up community movements in emerging music cities, new funding for entertainment through smart cities initiatives, and new payments for local artists through entertainment technologies.In the past decade, Hendrickson has launched several startups spanning music licensing and distribution, venues, festivals, non-profit music associations, and the city-backed Columbus Music Commission. As a result of his work, Hendrickson has become an official speaker at conferences like SXSW, Canadian Music Week, WOMEX, and institutions like The Ohio State University, Capital University, and The Cultural Institute of Poland.
