Jon Stone is a seasoned public relations professional who has led teams across sectors including medical devices, biotechnology, genetic testing, payers and providers and B2B enterprise technology. He has in-depth experience guiding communications programs that drive earned media, new business, positive thought leadership and elevated industry positioning for his clients.


Jon lead public relations activities for pharmaceutical, medical device and technology companies including work with Stryker, DJO Global, DSM Biomedical, LDR Spine, Apollo Endosurgery, Recombine (now Cooper Genomics) and Takeda Oncology. This scope of work included announcements around new products and manufacturing services, business partnerships and acquisitions and corporate milestones in addition to surgeon and patient success stories. Jon also led communications through multiple phases of clinical trials and FDA approvals and supported medical meetings for clients at events including NASS and AAHKS.


Through his work with consultancy Towers Watson, Jon gained a deep understanding of the payer, provider, and employer healthcare markets. He promoted research and news stories around the ongoing impacts of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. This work won the 2014 SABRE Award for work with Professional Service Firms. Jon’s current work with healthcare consultants includes PR support for North Highland.


Furthermore, Jon lead PR and corporate communications around earnings reporting, IPOs, funding rounds, M&A and asset acquisition and divestiture. His issues and crisis experience includes work with companies in highly regulated industries involved in litigation, executive wrongdoing, plant shutdowns, mass layoffs and data breaches.


Previously, Jon worked at public relations firms Kwittken and RLM PR. He was also a founding member of healthcare agency collective Antidote 360. Jon holds a BBA in Marketing from The George Washington University.
