Sascha Jamall is a Principal at SAJ Consulting, a retail and wholesale consumer products consulting and advisory firm. The practice is targeted to early stage businesses and mid-tier firms. The focus is on strategy development, process mapping and leadership development with an emphasis on global procurement.
Sascha is a consensus builder and strong collaborator. He focuses on articulating a clear vision, supported by meaningful strategies and implemented through rigorous tactical execution. Sascha is a trusted advisor to business leaders, industry peers and team members. He has a passion for learning and personal development and loves to give back as a teacher and mentor to others. Prior to his current role, Sascha was head of Global Sourcing and Production Services at Michaels Stores, the largest retailer of Arts and Crafts. From 2012 to 2014, Sascha was head of Design and Global Sourcing at One Kings Lane, one of the premier on-line Home Furnishing brands where he launched a number of private brands and drove significant margin improvements.
Previous to his position with One Kings Lane, Sascha was head of Product Development and Global Sourcing at Michaels Stores, Inc.. During his five-year tenure and under his leadership, Michaels’ private brand penetration grew to an industry leading 52% of Company sales while driving double-digit cost improvements.
His careers has included leadership sourcing and supply chain roles at Williams-Sonoma and Eddie Bauer where he has led transformational changes in global procurement strategy. He began his career in the Department Store space.
Sascha has a Bachelor in Business Economics from UCLA. He also has an Executive Leadership certification from Seattle University. Sascha is a Guest Lecturer at the University of North Texas and a Mentor to Retail Technology entrepreneurs in the Dallas area.
He is married with three daughters. Sascha, his wife and youngest daughter live in Dallas, Texas.
